Intelligent Biomimetic Lower-Limb Prostheses and Human Motion Modelling
This research direction is led by Professor Lei Ren and mainly includes predictive musculoskeletal modelling of human walking and the development of energy-efficient lower-limb prostheses. The project focuses on key scientific and engineering issues such as human gait generation, musculoskeletal coordination, prosthetic energy efficiency, and human–prosthesis motion adaptation. By developing predictive biomechanical models and intelligent biomimetic prosthesis design methods, the project provides important theoretical foundations and engineering support for biomimetic robotics, rehabilitation engineering, intelligent prostheses, and wearable motion-assistance systems.
