History
The International Academy of Bionic Science (IABS) was officially established during its inaugural conference held on July 26-27, 2025, in Beijing, China. This landmark event brought together 20 distinguished academicians and leading experts from around the globe, including China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, marking the birth of the highest academic body and think tank of the International Society of Bionic Engineering (ISBE).
2021: The concept of the IABS was originally proposed by Professor Luquan Ren.
2023: The proposal gained significant momentum and was passed at the Meeting of the Board of Directors of the ISBE.
2024: The establishment received final official approval at the Meeting of the Executive Board of Directors.
2025: The IABS was formally established at its inaugural conference in Beijing.
